In Guatemala, women struggle through abuse, poverty, and heartache. But these women are now becoming proud business owners! By utilizing their traditional skills, they are able to create beautiful products that reflect their culture. They can provide for their families at home rather than leaving in search of work and can also send their children to school to pursue their dreams. This is because people like you purchase their work!
Every product has variations as a part of the artisan-made charm!
This product come directly from Trades of Hope:
Trades of Hope works with the artisans themselves and organizations that are helping women in difficult circumstances. Some women have been rescued from sex slavery. Others are raising handicapped children alone. Some are in war torn countries and others have HIV/AIDS and leprosy. These women have never had the chances we've had, yet they are just like us in so many ways. They love their families and hope and dream of a better life for them.
They are helping by marketing their products through the home party model, so the artisans can put food on their table, a roof over their head, get medical care and an education for their children. Trades of Hope wants to tell their stories to the world!
Fruits of Grace partners with Trades of Hope as a Compassionate Entrepreneur. Ask us how you can as well!
